Description: The number of times and error was received from the physical layer when an LLC XID message was attempted by this data link layer.
What is cntllc1XidErrs?
This counter records the number of times an error was received from the physical layer when this LLC1 instance attempted to send an LLC XID message. An administrator treats a rising count as evidence that XID exchange attempts are specifically failing at the physical layer, distinct from a peer simply not responding. For example, this counter climbing together with cntllc1OutXids but not cntllc1OutXidResps would tell the admin the XID requests are failing to even leave the physical layer, not just going unanswered.
