What is cnticmpOutReNets?
This read-only Counter reports the number of times this node sent an ICMP redirect message because it found a shorter path to a destination network. An admin would use this counter to confirm this node is actively optimizing routes for downstream senders by pointing them toward better paths for entire networks. For example, a burst of cnticmpOutReNets right after a routing table update would reflect this node redirecting local senders toward the newly discovered shortcut.
