Description: The number of times a destination unreachable message was sent to a requester when it attempted to send a datagram to an unreachable protocol.
What is cnticmpOutDuProtos?
This read-only Counter reports the number of times this node sent an ICMP destination-unreachable message because a requester tried to send a datagram using a protocol the destination didn't support. An admin seeing this counter rise would investigate whether clients are misconfigured to use a protocol not supported by their intended target. For example, a burst of cnticmpOutDuProtos messages might reveal a client application trying an unsupported transport protocol against a given server.
