Module: CNTAU-MIB

OID (symbolic): CNTAU-MIB::cntdlNumber

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.333.1.13.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The number of network data link layers present on this system.

What is cntdlNumber?

This value reports the number of network data link layers present on this system. An administrator uses it to know how many rows to expect when walking the cntdl data link table across all link types combined. For example, if this count is higher than the sum of the Ethernet, FDDI, and LLC1 counts elsewhere in this MIB, the admin knows some other data link type is present that isn't separately itemized.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.333.1.13.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CNTAU-MIB::cntdlNumber

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.333.1.13.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CNTAU-MIB::cntdlNumber.1
