Description: The maximum number of ports supported by this data link layer service.

What is cntdlMaxPort?

This value reports the maximum number of ports supported by this data link layer service. An administrator uses it to know the upper bound on concurrent port entries this data link layer can host, which is useful when planning capacity for connection-oriented services running over it. For example, if cntdlActivePort is approaching this maximum, the admin knows the data link layer is nearing its port capacity and new connection attempts may soon start failing.
