cntSysTimeofDay
Module: CNTAU-MIB
OID (symbolic): CNTAU-MIB::cntSysTimeofDay
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.333.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: DisplayString
Access: read-only
Description: The date and time from Battery-Backed-up RAM (BBRAM).
What is cntSysTimeofDay?
This read-only DisplayString reports the current date and time as tracked in the node's Battery-Backed-up RAM (BBRAM), which keeps time even through power loss. An admin verifying clock accuracy on a node that lacks network time sync would check this value directly. For example, a cntSysTimeofDay reading that has drifted noticeably from real time would suggest the BBRAM battery is failing to keep the clock accurate.
