cntSerialNumber

Module: CNTAU-MIB

OID (symbolic): CNTAU-MIB::cntSerialNumber

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.333.1.1.5.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The machine serial number of this node.

What is cntSerialNumber?

This read-only INTEGER reports the machine serial number of this node. An admin filing a support ticket or warranty claim for the entire machine, as opposed to an individual card, would quote this value to uniquely identify the unit. For example, this serial number, together with cntModelNumber, would be the two pieces of information a vendor support line asks for first.
