cntMsgSeqNumber

Module: CNTAU-MIB

OID (symbolic): CNTAU-MIB::cntMsgSeqNumber

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.333.1.1.3.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The sequence number for this message.

What is cntMsgSeqNumber?

This read-only INTEGER is the sequence number assigned to this particular mailbox message. An admin reconstructing the exact order messages were generated, especially when multiple messages share the same timestamp resolution, would rely on this sequence number to sort them correctly. For example, two messages with an identical cntMsgDateTime value but different sequence numbers tell the admin which one actually occurred first.
