This object holds the textual description of the most recent trap message sent by this SNMP agent, and its own object identifier is included with every trap sent. An administrator reads this to quickly see, in plain text, what the last alert from this agent actually said without needing to correlate raw trap PDUs. For example, after receiving an unidentified trap notification, the admin can poll this object to retrieve a human-readable description of what just happened.
