Module: CNTAU-MIB

OID (symbolic): CNTAU-MIB::cntFddiRequests

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.333.1.11.2.2

Description: The number of requests received by the agent for FDDI objects in the experimental or transmission subtree.

What is cntFddiRequests?

This counter records how many SNMP requests the agent has received for FDDI objects in the experimental or transmission subtree. An administrator uses this to measure how much polling traffic is specifically targeting FDDI-related MIB objects on this agent. For example, an unexpectedly high value here on a node with no FDDI hardware installed would prompt the admin to check for a misconfigured monitoring template polling the wrong OIDs.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.333.1.11.2.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CNTAU-MIB::cntFddiRequests

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.333.1.11.2.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CNTAU-MIB::cntFddiRequests.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cntFddiRequests.1
