OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.333.1.11.2.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Description: The number of requests to the MEs that were cached. Each cached message contains as many mib objects as the request to the ME.

What is cntCachedResponses?

This counter records how many requests to the managed elements (MEs) were served from cache, where each cached message contains as many MIB objects as the original ME request. An administrator uses this to understand how much the agent's caching layer is offloading direct ME queries. For example, a high ratio of cached responses to total requests suggests the agent's cache is effectively reducing load on the underlying managed elements.
