clnpSegOKs

Module: CLNS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CLNS-MIB::clnpSegOKs

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.1.1.18

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description: The number of CLNP PDUs that have been successfully segmented at this entity.

What is clnpSegOKs?

This read-only counter tracks the number of CLNP PDUs that this entity successfully segmented, meaning fragmented, before onward transmission. An admin uses this to see how often this entity itself has to break up oversized PDUs, which happens when an outgoing PDU exceeds what the next hop or path can carry unfragmented. For example, a router connecting a network segment with a large PDU size limit to one with a smaller limit would show this counter climbing as it segments PDUs to fit the smaller path.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.3.1.1.18
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CLNS-MIB::clnpSegOKs

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.3.1.1.18.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CLNS-MIB::clnpSegOKs.1
