This read-only Counter counts unknown-destination CLNP Error PDUs sent by this entity. An admin cares because it indicates this device doesn't recognize the destination address in an inbound PDU at all, distinct from simply lacking a route to it. For example, unknown-destination errors after a sender mistypes an NSAP address explain why this router bounces that particular traffic.
