What is clnpMediaToNetPhysAddress?
This read-write PhysAddress records the media-dependent hardware address in a clnpMediaToNetTable entry, the reverse-lookup counterpart of the net-to-media table. An admin cares because it confirms the hardware address recorded for a given media-to-net mapping, useful for correlating with link-layer diagnostics on that segment. For example, an admin matches the MAC address observed on the wire against this field to verify the media-to-net entry was populated correctly.
