Description: The method is used to set the 6 bits of the DSCP field in the IPv4 header or traffic class in IPv6 header of the GRE packet. A value of -1 indicates copy from the upstream packet. A value of -2 indicates automatic marking of DSCP.
What is clabGREFilterDscpMarkPolicy?
This read-create Integer32 (-2 to 63) chooses how the DSCP field of the GRE packet's outer IPv4 header (or IPv6 traffic class) gets marked, with -1 meaning copy the value from the upstream packet and -2 meaning let the device mark it automatically. Admins tune this to preserve or override QoS markings as traffic is tunneled over GRE. For example, setting the value to 46 forces the GRE outer header to always carry the DSCP code for expedited forwarding regardless of the inner packet's marking.
