rlSslCertificateGenerationId

Module: CISCOSB-SSL

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-SSL::rlSslCertificateGenerationId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.100.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The device can hold a number of keys/certificates/certificate requests. These certificates are always numbered from 1 to N (maximum number of certificates in device). This field decides to which keys/certificates/certificate requests the action refers.

What is rlSslCertificateGenerationId?

This read-write INTEGER selects which numbered slot, out of the device's fixed pool of 1..N certificate/key/request slots, the next certificate-generation or request action will operate on. It matters to an admin managing multiple SSL identities on the device because generation parameters like common name and validity period are meaningless until they're tied to a specific slot via this ID. For example, an admin sets this to 2 to target the device's second certificate slot before writing a new common name and issuing a generate action for it.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.100.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCOSB-SSL::rlSslCertificateGenerationId

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.100.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCOSB-SSL::rlSslCertificateGenerationId.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.100.1.1.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> rlSslCertificateGenerationId.1
