This read-only value reports the age, in seconds, of a router-LSA. An admin monitors this to judge how recently the LSA was refreshed, since OSPF LSAs are periodically re-originated and an unusually high age can indicate a stalled or flapping OSPF process. For example, an LSA age climbing toward the OSPF maximum-age threshold without resetting could indicate the originating router has stopped refreshing its LSAs.
