Description: The sequence number field is a signed 32-bit integer. It is used to detect old and duplicate link state advertisements. The space of sequence numbers is linearly ordered. The larger the sequence number the more recent the advertisement.
What is rlOspfAsbLnkSequence?
This read-only Integer32 is the signed sequence number of the ASBR-Summary-LSA, used to distinguish stale copies from newer ones since larger numbers mean more recent advertisements. An admin watching this value confirms the advertising ABR is actively keeping reachability information for that ASBR current. For example, if this sequence number stalls after a network change near the ASBR, it suggests the ABR isn't reflooding updated reachability data.
