Module: CISCOSB-IpRouter

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-IpRouter::ipLeakOspfToRip

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.26.7.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This parameter controls leaking (redistribution) of routes from OSPF to RIP. If enabled, all routes learned via OSPF are advertised into RIP.

What is ipLeakOspfToRip?

This read-write value controls whether routes learned via OSPF are redistributed, or leaked, into RIP. An admin enables this to bridge routing information from an OSPF backbone into a legacy RIP-speaking segment of the network. For example, enabling this lets RIP-only routers on an older part of the network learn about destinations that are only known via OSPF elsewhere.
