OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-IP::rlSourceAddressSelectionInterfaceIPv4

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.26.35.1.2

What is rlSourceAddressSelectionInterfaceIPv4?

This read-write value sets which interface's IPv4 address the device should use as the source address for outgoing traffic when no more specific source is dictated, with zero meaning the interface is undefined. Admins configure this to ensure outbound management or diagnostic traffic, like SLA probes or syslog, consistently originates from a specific, predictable interface address. For example, setting this to the ifIndex of a dedicated management VLAN interface would make outbound syslog or SNMP trap traffic consistently source from that interface's address rather than an arbitrary one.
