This read-only counter tallies the total number of valid EAPOL frames of any type that the switch's 802.1X authenticator function has received for this session. An administrator monitors it to confirm a client is actively exchanging 802.1X protocol messages at all, as a baseline health check before digging into more specific frame-type counters. For example, a stalled authentication with this counter frozen at zero would tell the admin the client isn't sending any EAPOL traffic, pointing to a supplicant configuration problem rather than a RADIUS issue.

How to Use in IPNetwork Monitor
