Description: Counts the number of times that the state machine transitions from AUTHENTICATED to CONNECTING, as a result of an EAPOL-Start message being received from the Supplicant.

What is rldot1xAuthMultiAuthEapStartsWhileAuthenticated?

This read-only counter tracks how many times an already-authenticated session was reset back to CONNECTING because the client itself sent a fresh EAPOL-Start message, effectively re-initiating authentication on its own. An administrator watches for unusually frequent counts here, which could indicate a client repeatedly reconnecting or a supplicant misbehaving by restarting 802.1X unnecessarily while already authenticated. For example, a laptop whose NIC driver resets frequently might generate a high count here even though the user experiences no visible network interruption.
