rlDhcpv6ClientEnabledByDefaultRemovedIfindex

Module: CISCOSB-DHCPv6-CLIENT

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-DHCPv6-CLIENT::rlDhcpv6ClientEnabledByDefaultRemovedIfindex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.214.2.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: DHCPv6 Client flag is relevant when mtsc parameter DHCPv6_client_enabled_by_default is TRUE. If the MIB has non zero value the meaning is that DHCP client has removed from configuration by the user on the interface and signs to application not to add DHCPv6 client entry. Otherwise (zero value) - the meaning is that DHCPv6 client entry must be added.

What is rlDhcpv6ClientEnabledByDefaultRemovedIfindex?

This read-write flag, meaningful only when the device's DHCPv6_client_enabled_by_default setting is TRUE, records whether a user has manually removed the DHCPv6 client from an interface's configuration (non-zero) or whether it should still be added automatically (zero). An administrator relies on this to understand why a given interface index does or doesn't have a DHCPv6 client entry even though the platform defaults to enabling one everywhere. For example, if a technician deliberately disabled DHCPv6 on a management interface, this OID would read non-zero for that ifIndex, signalling the application not to re-add the client entry.
