rlIpSourceGuardRetryTime

Module: CISCOSB-BRIDGE-SECURITY

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-BRIDGE-SECURITY::rlIpSourceGuardRetryTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.112.2.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Configures in seconds the period of time the application retries to insert inactive by resource problem rules. The actual range is 10-600. 0 used to sign that the timer is not active.

What is rlIpSourceGuardRetryTime?

This read-write INTEGER (0-600, with an actual usable range of 10-600) configures, in seconds, how often the switch automatically retries inserting IP Source Guard rules that previously failed due to a resource shortage, with 0 meaning the retry timer is inactive. An admin cares because it determines how quickly a temporarily resource-blocked security rule gets automatically retried without manual intervention. For example, an admin who occasionally sees IP Source Guard entries stuck inactive due to resource pressure would set this to a value like 60 so the switch periodically retries installing them on its own.
