Module: CISCOSB-BRIDGE-SECURITY
OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-BRIDGE-SECURITY::rlIpSourceGuardPermittedRuleCounterNumOfDhcpRules
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.112.2.7.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter32
Access: read-only
Description: Number of rules added by IP Source Guard for the permitted Hosts, as a result of DHCP Snooping dynamic information.
What is rlIpSourceGuardPermittedRuleCounterNumOfDhcpRules?
This read-only Counter32 counts the number of permit rules IP Source Guard has added for hosts based on dynamic information learned from DHCP Snooping. An admin cares because it shows how many devices are currently being protected purely through automatic DHCP-learned bindings rather than manual configuration. For example, an admin comparing this counter against the total number of active DHCP clients would use it to sanity-check that DHCP snooping is successfully feeding IP Source Guard for most connected devices.
