Description: Specifies a DHCP option 82 receive on untrusted port enable state.

What is rlIpDhcpOpt82RxOnUntrustedEnable?

This read-write INTEGER (enable(1)/disable(2)) controls whether the switch accepts DHCP packets that already contain option 82 data when they arrive on an untrusted port. An admin cares because normally an untrusted client shouldn't be sending option-82-tagged packets, and accepting them could be exploited to spoof relay information; this setting controls that risk. For example, an admin who trusts a downstream relay agent connected to an otherwise untrusted port might enable this so its option-82-tagged packets aren't dropped.
