cXdslModeSpectrum
Module: CISCO-XDSL-LINE-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-XDSL-LINE-MIB::cXdslModeSpectrum
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.204.1.3.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The value of this object specifies the spectrum mode of this interface. The interface will stay in spectrum mode until this object is set to disabled. The modes will inhibit the service on that line. Not all spectrum modes are avaiable for all types of modems. The modes translate as follows: sdsl & shdsl ------------ spectrum1 = tx-1 spectrum2 = tx-3 spectrum3 = tx+1 spectrum4 = tx+3 spectrum5 = spec2PT spectrum6 = spec4PT dmt --- spectrum1 = reverb spectrum2 = medley spectrum3 = pilot spectrum4 = not supported spectrum5 = not supported spectrum6 = not supported cap --- spectrum1 = 136k spectrum2 = 340k spectrum3 = 680k spectrum4 = 952k spectrum5 = not supported spectrum6 = not supported
What is cXdslModeSpectrum?
This read-write object selects a specific spectrum (frequency allocation) mode for this xDSL interface, and the desc notes the interface remains in that mode, with service inhibited, until this object is set back to disabled. It also cautions that not all of the six available spectrum options are supported on every modem type, and their meaning varies by modem type such as SDSL and SHDSL. For example, an admin testing spectral compatibility on an SHDSL line would need to consult the modem-specific spectrum mapping before choosing a spectrumN value here, since the same numeric option means something different on a different DSL technology.
