Module: CISCO-WIRELESS-P2P-BPI-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WIRELESS-P2P-BPI-MIB::cwrBpiRmTEKReset

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.135.1.2.2.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: Setting this object to TRUE causes the Radio Master to invalidate the current active TEK(s) (plural due to key transition periods), and to generate a new TEK. Reading this object always returns FALSE.

What is cwrBpiRmTEKReset?

This read-write object, when set to true, causes the Radio Master to invalidate the currently active TEK or TEKs, plural because of overlapping keys during transition periods, and generate a fresh TEK, though reading it back always returns false since it's a momentary trigger. An admin uses this to manually force key regeneration on a TEK association, for example after a suspected key compromise. For example, if traffic on a given TEK association is suspected to have been intercepted, an admin could set cwrBpiRmTEKReset to true to immediately retire the compromised keys and issue new ones.
