Description: Administrative status of the voice card. The voice card is administratively down if all voice ports are shut. The agent changes the status whenever the status of the voice card changes in the router. The voice card changes state immediately when the NMS changes the state of this object.
What is cVoiceCardAdminStatus?
This is a read-write setting reflecting whether the voice card is administratively up or down, where down specifically means all the voice ports on that card have been shut. An admin can care about this both ways: setting it to force the card's state, or reading it to see the agent's automatically-updated reflection of the card's actual port status in the router. For example, an admin bringing a faulty voice card offline for replacement would set this object to down, immediately shutting all its voice ports.
