Description: This object defines the time (millisecs) to wait for filling up the cell when the next packet is not ready. After waiting for the time configured in this object, the cell will be sent out. This object is applicable only for aal2 adaptations. Any new programmed value will not affect SVCs already in progress.
What is cvapSvcMultiCIDFillTimer?
This read-write Unsigned32 (0 to 255 milliseconds) sets how long the gateway waits to fill an AAL2 cell when the next packet isn't ready before sending the cell out anyway, and any change doesn't affect SVCs already in progress. An administrator tunes this to balance cell-filling efficiency against added latency for AAL2 voice traffic. For example, lowering this value forces cells to be sent sooner even if only partially filled, reducing delay at some cost to bandwidth efficiency.
