cvapSvcDelNotifGuardTimer

Module: CISCO-VOICE-AALX-PROFILE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VOICE-AALX-PROFILE-MIB::cvapSvcDelNotifGuardTimer

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.323.1.3.1.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: A timer, for a duration as specified by this object, will be started when the SVC call is released from the network side. Upon expiration of this timer, the call agent is notified about this through ServiceChange message(for H.248 protocol) or through gateway initiated delete message(for MGCP protocol). This object is not applicable for Multi-CID SVC(if MIB object 'cvapSvcMultiCIDPerSvc' is set to 'true').

What is cvapSvcDelNotifGuardTimer?

This read-write Integer32 (1 to 120 seconds) sets a guard timer that starts when an SVC call is released from the network side, and upon expiry notifies the call agent via a ServiceChange message (H.248) or a gateway-initiated delete message (MGCP); it does not apply when Multi-CID SVC is enabled. An administrator tunes this to control how promptly the call agent learns about network-initiated call releases. For example, shortening this timer speeds up how quickly the call agent is notified after the network tears down a call.
