Description: This object deprecates the object vmpsRcpRemoteUserName to support full range, i.e. SIZE(0..255), of TEXTUAL-CONVENTION SnmpAdminString.
The object indicates remote username for download of the VMPS database file via RCP protocol. This object must be set when vmpsTriggerDownload is to loadRcpDataBase(3). This object will be have no effect for protocols other than RCP.
What is vmpsRcpRemoteUserName2?
This read-create SnmpAdminString deprecates vmpsRcpRemoteUserName to support the full SIZE(0..255) range including an empty string, while serving the identical purpose of the RCP remote username needed when vmpsTriggerDownload is set to loadRcpDataBase. An administrator would use this newer object instead of the original when they need to be able to clear the username entirely. For example, setting this to an empty string effectively removes any previously configured RCP username.
