Description: This object provides the ability to enable or disable early token release for a particular port.
Early token release only applies to ports operating at 16 Mbps. If ifSpeed reflects 4 Mbps for a particular port, then the corresponding instance of this object will have a value of disabled(2) regardless of attempts to set the object to enabled(1).
Whenever a port is opened with a ring speed of 16 Mbps, by default, early token release will be enabled.
What is tokenRingPortEarlyTokenRel?
This read-write setting enables or disables early token release on a 16 Mbps Token Ring port, a feature that lets a station release the token before its frame fully returns.
