Description: Indicates whether Cisco Group Management Protocol is enabled on the device or not. When CGMP is enabled in conjunction with Cisco routers running CGMP, only the required ports will participate in IP multicast groups.

What is mcastEnableCgmp?

This read-write flag enables or disables Cisco Group Management Protocol (CGMP) on the device, allowing switches working with CGMP-enabled routers to restrict IP multicast traffic to only the ports that need it.
