Description: This object represents the number of commands received. This object provides support for systems that can quickly generate lots of commands because they run at high speed.

What is ciscoScsiTgtPortHSInCommands?

This object is the Counter64 equivalent of ciscoScsiTgtPortInCommands, provided per the desc for systems capable of generating command rates fast enough to wrap a 32-bit counter between polling intervals. An admin monitoring a very busy front-end port on a modern all-flash array should use this 64-bit counter to get accurate long-term trending without the misleading resets a 32-bit counter would show under heavy load. This distinction, as with the other high-speed counter pairs in this MIB, only matters once actual command rates approach the 32-bit counter's wraparound threshold within a typical polling window.
