This object holds the name of the discovered or manually authorized target device or port entry in this table, in the transport-appropriate format. An admin manually pre-authorizing a target before it is actually discovered on the fabric enters its known WWN or iSCSI name here, so that when the target does appear, it is automatically recognized as already trusted rather than requiring manual review at discovery time. Entering a target's WWN here ahead of a planned storage array installation lets that array come online already authorized once physically connected.
