Access: read-only
Description: The DNS name of the remote address of Phase-1 Tunnel. If the DNS name associated with the remote tunnel endpoint is not known, then the value of this object will be a zero-length string.
What is cisgIpsSgTunRemoteName?
This reports the DNS name of the remote address for this Phase-1 tunnel, per its description, and is a zero-length string if that DNS name isn't known. It gives an admin a human-readable label for a remote peer in a large tunnel table, letting them recognize 'branch-nyc.example.com' at a glance rather than having to remember which raw IP address corresponds to which site. A blank value for a peer an admin knows has valid DNS would suggest this device isn't resolving reverse DNS for that address, a small but useful operational detail when triaging a large tunnel table.
