ipSecPolMapCryptoMapNum

Module: CISCO-IPSEC-POLICY-MAP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-IPSEC-POLICY-MAP-MIB::ipSecPolMapCryptoMapNum

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.172.1.2.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: The value of this object should be the priority of the IPSec Policy (cryptomap) assigned by the operator while configuring the policy of this IPSec tunnel.

For instance, on an IOS router, the if the command entered to configure the IPSec policy was

==> crypto map ftpPolicy 10 ipsec-isakmp

then the value of this object would be 10.

What is ipSecPolMapCryptoMapNum?

This reports the sequence/priority number of the IPSec policy (cryptomap) assigned by the operator, per its description - for instance, if the configuration command was 'crypto map ftpPolicy 10 ipsec-isakmp', this object's value would be 10. Since a single cryptomap name can have multiple numbered sequence entries each matching different traffic via different ACLs, this number tells an admin exactly which sequence entry within that named cryptomap is governing this particular tunnel. Combined with ipSecPolMapCryptoMapName, an admin gets the full 'ftpPolicy 10' identifier needed to locate the precise configuration line.
