cepPerfThreshRisingEvent
Module: CISCO-ENTITY-PERFORMANCE-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-ENTITY-PERFORMANCE-MIB::cepPerfThreshRisingEvent
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.756.0.1
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description: A notification indicating that the specific performance measurement is rising the configured threshold on this physical entity at a specific performance interval.
This notification will be sent, whenever the cepStatsMeasurement is equal to or above the cepConfigRisingThreshold for a specific performance measurement at a specific interval and the notification control objects are enabled.
An agent may throttle the generation of consecutive cepPerfThreshRisingEvent notification so that there is at least a five second (suggested default) gap between notification for an entity of specific performance measurement type at a specific interval.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' CISCO-ENTITY-PERFORMANCE-MIB::cepPerfThreshRisingEvent snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.756.0.1
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:58564->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (173807300) 20 days, 2:47:53.00 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: CISCO-ENTITY-PERFORMANCE-MIB::cepPerfThreshRisingEvent
SNMPv3 example:
snmptrap -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3user -a SHA -A "AuthPass1" -x AES -X "PrivPass1" <manager> '' CISCO-ENTITY-PERFORMANCE-MIB::cepPerfThreshRisingEvent
