This trap indicates that a significant link event has been recognized resulting in the degradation of the interface line quality.

What is cipCardDtrBrdLinkFailure?

A notification (trap) fired when the DTR board link degrades significantly. This alert indicates a channel card is experiencing line quality problems. An operator responds to this trap by checking the cable between the channel card and line, then reseating connections if needed.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' CISCO-CHANNEL-MIB::cipCardDtrBrdLinkFailure
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.20.1.5.2

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
