Description: The IEEE-802-Tagged-Frame configuration option permits the implementation to support for IEEE 802.1q Tagged Frame.

When enabled the local BCP Entity initiates a IEEE-802-Tagged-Frame Option negotiation.

What is bcpConfigIeee802dot1qTagged?

This read-write object controls whether the local BCP entity negotiates the IEEE-802-Tagged-Frame option, which permits an implementation to indicate support for 802.1Q tagged frames. Enabling this negotiates whether the BCP link can carry 802.1Q VLAN-tagged frames across the bridged connection, so leaving it disabled on a segment that actually uses VLAN tagging means tagged frames crossing this half-bridge link may have their tags mishandled or stripped. Bridging two segments that both carry 802.1Q trunked VLAN traffic requires this enabled on both half-bridges, or VLAN tag information could be lost in transit across the WAN link.
