Description: The value of sysUpTime when this channel last completed a switch to the protection line. If this channel has never switched to the protection line, or this channel is the protection line, the value 0 will be returned.
What is cApsChanStatusLastSwitchover?
This reports the device's sysUpTime at the moment this channel most recently completed a switch onto the protection line, returning 0 if the channel has never switched over or if this row represents the protection line itself (which by definition never switches to itself). An admin uses this alongside cApsChanStatusSwitchovers to know not just how many times a channel has failed over but exactly when the most recent one happened, useful for correlating with other events like a recent fiber cut or maintenance activity. For example, a channel with a high total switchover count but a very recent cApsChanStatusLastSwitchover timestamp would tell the admin this channel is both chronically unreliable and has just failed over again very recently, warranting more urgent attention than a channel whose last switchover was a long time ago.
