haState

Module: CHECKPOINT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CHECKPOINT-MIB::haState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.5.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-only

Description: HA state

What is haState?

This DisplayString reports the current ClusterXL state of this specific gateway, per 'HA state,' such as active, standby, or down. This is the single most important field in the whole HA table for day-to-day monitoring, since it directly tells an admin which cluster member is currently passing traffic. Seeing two members both report active simultaneously (rather than one active, one standby) would indicate a split-brain condition that needs immediate attention.
