Module: CHECKPOINT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CHECKPOINT-MIB::fgNumInterfaces

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.3.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Description: Interfaces num

What is fgNumInterfaces?

This DisplayString reports the number of interfaces FloodGate-1 is actively managing bandwidth on, per 'Interfaces num.' It's the count that determines how many rows to expect in the following per-interface fgIfIndex table, so it's the sanity check an admin runs before walking that table to make sure all expected interfaces are covered by QoS. If this reports 2 when the gateway has 4 physical interfaces, QoS enforcement is only active on half the network paths.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.3.8
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CHECKPOINT-MIB::fgNumInterfaces

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.3.8.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CHECKPOINT-MIB::fgNumInterfaces.1
