Description: HW accel. status

What is cpvHwAccelStatus?

This DisplayString reports the operational status of the hardware crypto accelerator, per 'HW accel. status.' Because IPsec/VPN throughput on Check Point appliances depends heavily on offloading encryption to this card, a status other than active or up means the gateway has silently fallen back to slower software-based encryption. If this value reads 'Down' while VPN CPU usage spikes to 90%, that's the direct explanation.
