Module: CHECKPOINT-MIB-2

OID (symbolic): CHECKPOINT-MIB-2::egpNeighAs

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.8.5.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The autonomous system of this EGP peer. Zero should be specified if the autonomous system number of the neighbor is not yet known.

What is egpNeighAs?

The autonomous system number of this EGP peer, with zero meaning the AS number isn't yet known. This is only meaningful in the legacy EGP context; a value of zero here would indicate the local system has not yet learned or been told the peer's AS number, consistent with a peering relationship that has never fully come up. Example: egpNeighAs staying at 0 alongside egpNeighState never reaching up(4) is consistent with a peering session that has never successfully exchanged information with that neighbor.
