atiVlanIfGlobalIdentifier

Module: CENTRECOM-VLAN-MIB

OID (symbolic): CENTRECOM-VLAN-MIB::atiVlanIfGlobalIdentifier

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.207.8.12.2.4.1.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: An administratively assigned global VLAN identifier.

The binding between a global identifier and a VLAN interface can be created or removed. To create a binding an NMS must write a non-zero value to this object. To delete a binding, the NMS must write a zero to this object. The value 1 is reserved for the default VLAN and this cannot be deleted or re-assigned.

What is atiVlanIfGlobalIdentifier?

This is an administratively chosen global VLAN ID, distinct from the local ifIndex-based VLAN row, that an NMS writes as a non-zero value to bind this interface to a network-wide VLAN identity, or writes zero to unbind it; the value 1 is permanently reserved for the switch's default VLAN and can't be reassigned. It matters in multi-switch topologies where the same global VLAN needs to be recognized consistently across devices even though each switch's internal row indexing differs. An admin binding this interface to global VLAN 50 would write 50 here, and later clear that binding by writing 0 without deleting the underlying interface row itself.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.207.8.12.2.4.1.2.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CENTRECOM-VLAN-MIB::atiVlanIfGlobalIdentifier

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.207.8.12.2.4.1.2.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CENTRECOM-VLAN-MIB::atiVlanIfGlobalIdentifier.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.207.8.12.2.4.1.2.1.4.1 i <value>
