Description: This value indicates the severity level for Event Log to forward events to SysLogd in Unix system. An event message with less severity level will not be forwarded to SysLogd. All messages with equal or greater severity level are forwarded to SysLogd.
What is sysEvtLogSysLogSeverity?
This sets the minimum severity level, from panic (the most severe, and the CLI name for what the pre-filter table calls emergency) down through debug, that a message must meet to be forwarded to the configured Syslogd server; anything below this threshold is not forwarded even though it may still be logged locally. This is a second, independent severity filter layered on top of sysEvtLogPreFilterSeverity, letting an admin log more detail locally than gets sent to the remote syslog server. For example, keeping the local pre-filter at debug while setting this Syslogd threshold to warning would let an admin retain full local detail while only burdening the remote syslog server with warning-and-above events.
