sysEvtLogPreFilterSeverity

Module: CENTILLION-SYSTEM-EVENT-LOG-MIB

OID (symbolic): CENTILLION-SYSTEM-EVENT-LOG-MIB::sysEvtLogPreFilterSeverity

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.930.2.1.5.3

Type: INTEGER

Description: This value indicates the severity level for event log pre-filtering control. An event message with less severity level will not be logged into event message buffer. All messages with equal or greater severity level are logged into the message buffer. The emergency level is also named as panic level inc CLI command.

What is sysEvtLogPreFilterSeverity?

This sets the minimum severity level, from emergency (also called panic in the CLI) at the most severe end down through debug at the least severe, that a message must meet to be logged into the event message buffer at all; messages below this threshold get pre-filtered out entirely before ever reaching the buffer. An admin raises this threshold to reduce log volume during normal operations, or lowers it to debug when actively troubleshooting an issue that needs finer-grained visibility. For example, setting this to warning would suppress all notice, info, and debug-level chatter, keeping the buffer focused on warning-and-above events only.
