Description: Selects the operating ethernet interface. 'autoSelect(1)' indicates that the server will automatically select an interface by identifying that interface showing network activity. Note that the server must be rebooted before a change in the value of this variable actually takes effect.
What is vSysEtherType?
This read-write setting selects which Ethernet interface the server actually uses -- auto-select (pick whichever interface shows traffic), thin-wire, thick-wire, or 10BaseT. Because the source notes the change only takes effect after the next reboot, an admin should expect to reboot the unit after modifying it.
